8 ounce 12" Weighted Softball
The weighted ball routine is one of my favorite speed builders! The set includes one heavy and one light weight 12 inch ball. The heavy ball (8 ounce) adds extra resistance making the pitcher work harder throughout the arm circle, therefore building strength. When followed with the light weight ball (5 ounce), she under-loading, teaching her to move faster and resulting in increased ball speed.
I love to radar the pitches with the light weight ball! Run into the pitch and stationary with the light weight teach the pitchers how to move faster.
